Mum was the most amazing and most inspirational person I have ever known. I am so proud of her and the way she lived her life. I have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of emails, letters, cards, texts, phone calls from friends and acquaintances of Mum to express their sorry at her passing and to share in the celebration of her life and of her achievements. Mum it speaks for its self that you touched so many peoples lives and that you will be missed by so many so much.
So very proud of you, love you and miss you so very much. Sleep now, you deserve it x x
I remember well Doreen as a warm, caring, compassionate and appreciative person ~ a mum to so mnay. I was so very sorry to hear she has died.

Doreen was my wonderful big sister. She was like a Mom to me as there was a big age difference between us and our mother was quite sickly. She will be missed greatly missed! How do I contribute as I live overseas?
First and foremost for me Doreen was Dani's wonderful mum. With a wonderful warmth that even as a child you would feel completely comfortable. Her dressing-up box was legendary as was her ability to make a coach journey bearable with her trick of reading our palms. The last time I saw Doreen she was smiling, laughing and looking proud of her family (at Madeline's christening) I will always remember her that way xxx
